Fort Nelson Heritage Museum

We all enjoyed the museum here in Fort Nelson. This dozer was used to build the Alaskan Highway in 1942. Bob says "Hi".

Marl, the owner of the museum, has a wonderful collection of old cars, trucks and just about anything with a motor. He was a great tour guide. Showed us everything and there was a lot to see.

All the vehicles were in working order. Marl cranked up this old piece for Jack, Joe and Bob's delight.

This was a log cabin used by trappers along the Alaskan Highway. There was a ton of memorabilia inside.

Of course, we couldn't resist getting a silly picture of us as pioneers.

Another part of the museum has so much stuff including this stuffed albino moose. We watched a great film on the construction of the Alaskan Highway.

These bears were part of the museum, too. Aren't they sweet?

There was too much to mention at the museum. You really must see it for yourself.
