Wildlife along the Alaskan Highway
Today, on our way to Watson Lake, we saw a lot of bison. This one was all alone.
This little guy decided to cross the highway right in front of us. They say many get killed in the road. I sure wouldn't want to hit one!
This calf was sleeping by his mommy.
There was a whole herd of them in this spot. Bob counted at least 30.
We saw 6 black bears along the way today.
All of the other bear sightings were single bears just eating along the highway. I think this was a mama bear with 2 almost grown cubs.
