Pioneer Park in Fairbanks, Alaska

Today, we all went to the Pioneer Park. Inside are many historical museums and displays of the gold rush days and the Native Indians culture.

This museum had a lot of mining equipment, pictures and displays of the early 1900's Gold Rush.

This is a miniature display of  a gold dredging machine. Gravel was shoveled up and processed.

This dog sled was on display in one of the museums.

We took another train ride that rode us all around the park.

Here is a actual dredging machine. See the buckets out in front that carried the gravel into the machine to be dredged.

There were many ancient pieces of equipment. This steam shovel was used to build the Panama Canal and the Alaskan Highway.

I kind of like "Old Timers".

Here's a pretty cool totem pole.

Bob & I sat down for a little break. Joe took our picture cause he thought we looked like "bag ladies" I guess.
