Liard River Hot Springs

We spent one night here at Liard River Campsite. There were no facilities. No electricity, no water and no sewer. Not our favorite way to camp, but the Hot Springs were worth the sacrifice.

This waterfall was built as a dam to create a very nice pool area.

These boys are all smiling, but trust me, this is hot, hot, hot. The temperature is as hot as 126 F, but in areas such as this, it wasn't that hot, but it was hotter than bathwater.

Bob went all the way in. Brave soul. I couldn't even stand wading in here. Too hot.

Jack ventured all the way to the original source at it's hottest. He added a couple stones to the dam. He's really turning red.
